In Life's name and for Life's sake,

Ronan Nolan is a teenaged wizard from Ireland, first encountered by Nita in A Wizard Abroad. He is tall, with shaggy dark hair that hangs into his face, a long nose, dark eyes set close together, and a wide expressive mouth.

Ronan was an avatar of sorts of the One's Champion-- an aspect of the Champion shared body space with him, thus allowing him to bear the Spear of Light for a time before passing it on to its true carrier, the Hesper.
